Frequently asked Questions
Listed below are answers to the most common questions that we are asked, if you cannot find an answer to your question here, then please contact us.
What are the signs made from?
All of the lettering is cut from an adhesive-backed vinyl material. For the magnetic signs, this is then applied by us to a flexible plastic-coated magnetic sheeting, which is specifically designed for vehicle signage.
Are the signs weatherproof? (waterproof/fade resistant)
Yes. The vinyl (which the signs are cut from) is fully waterproof, and is colourfast for a minimum of 5 years - even in direct sunlight. The magnetic sheeting for the magnetic signs is similarly weatherproof.
Are the signs hard to fit?
The magnetic ones are easy - you could literally throw them onto the vehicle, although we recommend placing them on carefully. The area they are being place on must be clean, and you must ensure that you are sticking them to a flat surface. They should not be placed on the bonnet as the heat from the engine can damage them, plus they will be exposed to greater wind pressure there, which at high speeds may cause them to detach.
For the directly applied vinyl, we supply complete fully illustrated instructions that take you through step-by-step. Most people find that by taking their time, and following the provided instructions, the process is fairly simple and easier than they were expecting. It can take a few hours to complete depending on the size of the vehicle. You can view the fitting instructions online.
How long will my signs take to make?
Generally for the vinly self-fit signs they will be delivered to you within 5-7 working days, the magnetic signs take a little longer at around 6-10 working days. A specific timescale will be given on the order placement screen.
How much is the postage and packaging?
Delivery is £4.99 for the vinyl signage, and also £4.99 for the magnetic signs. We send all items recorded delivery, so you need to make sure that there is someone to take delivery (or collect from the depot if they are undelivered). If a delivery has to be returned to us because no one could take delivery then we may charge to cover the cost of re-delivery.
