Terms and Conditions

Definitions: 'we', 'us', 'our', 'VanSignsOnline.co.uk' refers to Van Signs Online Limited (company number: 09729378). 'you','customer','user','their' refers to the person or business entity using this website or the signs supplied by us.

Acceptance & Dispatch of Orders

We do not accept orders from outside of the United Kingdom.

All orders are subject to our acceptance. We may at our discretion decline any order, a full refund will be issued in such cases. We will email you with a confirmation of your order upon it's acceptance.

Delivery is to UK addresses only, if you require delivery outside of the UK please contact us before placing your order.

We will endeavour to dispatch all orders within the timescale given when the order is placed and payment made, however we make no guarantee to this, or to the availability of any items. In the event that we are unable to dispatch within this period, we will contact you as soon as possible to offer you a full refund or to make other arrangements.

Proofs are provided to the customer during the design stage, these are the specification that the signage will be produced to. It is important that the customer ensures that the design is correct in all ways, including layout, colour and typography, before submitting the order.

Prices and Tax

Payment is due at the time of ordering, all payments are handled by a third-party online payment processor (PayPal). Security of the transaction is handled by PayPal, VanSignsOnline.co.uk does not collect any credit/debit card details. We will pass through your name and delivery address to the payment processor as part of the order process for the sole purpose of completing the transaction.

Van Signs Online Limited is not VAT registered, and does therefore not charge VAT on any orders.

Failed Deliveries

In the case of a failed delivery that is returned to us we reserve the right to charge the customer for redelivery of the goods.

Cancellation and Returns

All orders are custom made to the customer's specification, as such the transactions are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations Act. Once you have submitted your order, you are committed to the purchase - you may contact us to cancel without penalty within two hours of us sending you the order confirmation email, any time after this however and we will have begun the manufacture of the signage and will charge a fee for the work carried out (this may be the full amount if we have completed the signs).

If we manufacture your order incorrectly, i.e. it does not match your specified design (allowing for stated tolerances, see following section), then you have the right to return the goods for a full refund. You must contact us first before returning any goods. The same applies for returns of damaged or otherwise faulty goods.

The cost of any returns is to be covered by the customer, unless we agree otherwise before the goods are sent to us.

Sizes, Shapes and Colours

All sizes given are approximate, all elements of the signs are manufactured to a tolerance of +/- 2%.

We may make adjustments to user created designs where necessary for production or layout purposes.

Due to limitations of browsers and monitors, colour accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

Usage and Care

Any signage supplied by us is for use exclusively on factory finish paintwork. Any areas of bodywork that have been repaired or otherwise repainted / refinished must not have signage applied to them. We use materials designed for use on vehicles, however we cannot guarantee that the paintwork will not be adversely affected by any signage applied to it.

All signs are hand wash only. Never use a jet wash, automatic car wash or any other form of mechanical or pressure based cleaning.

Signage applied to a vehicle blocks a certain amount of UV light, this may leave behind a 'ghosting' when the signage is removed. This is not damage to the paint, it is due to the paint beneath the signage receiving less light and so aging differently to the surrounding area. The customer accepts that this may occur.

Magnetic signs must only be applied to continuous, uninterrupted, ferrous surfaces. The entire surface area of the rear of the sign must be in contact with the panel, without any lumps, ridges or other deformations. Magnetic signs must not be applied to the bonnet of the vehicle. The care guidelines supplied with the signs must be followed to mitigate the risk of damage to the vehicle and the signs themselves. Daily cleaning of the face and reverse of the signs is required.

Magnetic signs have a service life of up to three years. Directly applied vinyl has a service life of five years. Failure to follow the care instructions may significantly shorten this.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that their vehicle insurance provides adequate cover in relation to any signage that they use on the vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury to themselves or a third party and damage to property.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site and any signage supplied.

Jurisdiction

The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Use of Information

All data provided by the customer will be used in accordance with our privacy policy.

Consumer Rights

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
